Another Hid thread

I really want to get the hids for the car.. Tbrynes are the only ones i found for the 93-97 camaro and I can not justify spending over 800 bucks for Hids on my Z.

Y not buy a Hid system off ebay for 300 bucks.. the 9006 bulbs and cut open my existing sealed beams pull out the old bulb, and stick the new bulb in?

I did the same thing your talking about. I just bought 5000K HID Blue bulbs and took apart the bulb housing and sealed them in there. They look good and there cheaper than buying a HID kit. Just make sure you get the regular wattage bulbs which is 55watts I believe and you shouldn't have any problems.

Guys,

I think he is talking about true HID ballasts and bulbs, not "HID LOOK".

ZDriver96,

Our halogen housings are not optimized for HID, but yes it would work, and would definately give you better output than stock.
