amazing headlights for our cars! prototype set!

I hope this isn't a repost, but at least my photoshop job won't be...

Anyway... *clears throat*

THE SLP PROTOTYPE HEADLIGHTS FOR THE '98 FIREHAWK ARE ON EBAY!!!
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1998-...temZ8019276058

These are quite possibly the best looking headlights ever made for our cars. Somebody with deep pockets and the ability to reproduce them needs to buy them! Thunder Racing or RKSport? Anyone have any contacts at them or anywhere else? If so, throw them a link, and we might finally have some awesome replacement headlights!

If molds could be made, and the molds could be modified to fit on LT1 Camaros, I would DEFINITELY buy them if they were made easy to install.

Very intresting. Problem is thier a far shot. Making something like that from scratch would be very hard but if a company did it they would be rich. The overall design seems simple but the more I stare at them (past 5 minutes) the more it seems that there is no way they would fit in a Camaro as is. Very nice find and I feel your excitement. I'm going to ask some custom guys how hard it would be to duplicate.

Good thinking Honda Hunter, see what you can find out. I'd buy something similar to this in a heartbeat. The idea (and trouble) of using foglights and such like other guys are using just doesn't appeal to me. I want something that looks awesome and factory stock.

Q: Do these headlights come with a free 1998 Firehawk? I would surely hope so for the insane price you are asking....

A: Well Mr. Smarty Pants - If you knew anything about the '98 Headlamps, you would know that we had over 3million dollars invested in the program. I'm not really interested in selling them, I use them to drive traffic to my store which it seems to be doing a pretty good job. Regards, David

I agree with you. I have FF75's and though they look ok it still bothers me to think I'm using driving lights for headlights. Not that they dont do thier job, it's just it's urks me. Then they shake alot with my setup and are always becoming misaligned. On top of that I cant get them aligned properly so i anoy oncomers to the point I dont even use them anymore (I drive at night with only the fogs). I think you hit it dead on with your last coment. I dont want something that stands out. I want something that looks like it came from the factory. The S13's can be made to look that way but they dont hold a candle to what you posted. If I cant find something along those lines I'm just going to go to a 98 front end though it's a very last resort.

$25,000 IS insanely steep.
One of 3 sets made and the only
assembled set!
I wonder why he won't sell one of the 3 sets that isn't assembled? They'd be easier to make molds of...

I bet if someone had enough time and put enough effort into it, I bet somebody would find a set of headlights from another car that would fit without a lot of modification.

I also wondered if these would fit on an LT1 Camaro.

Surely there's something that would work...

All it takes is one company to take the time and effort. It would be alot easier than us trying to see what does and doesnt fit. Can you imagine what a pain it would be to hunt down different headlights trying to fit them then searching agin etc etc.

Check this thread out. Mabey we should keep an eye on the what's going on with the firebird guys because if those slp's will fit then the other headlight conversion kits should work for us also.

I'm not really sure how it would fit. My idea is that it would sit on the ledge a little bit and look a bit like a Corvette C6. They just seem to be an approximate shape that could work.
