so they look okay if a car company puts them on, but if a person puts them on they don't?

curious, what if someone took an IS300 from before the altezzas and put them on themselves, would that not look good then?

As for my opinion... I don't think I like them on camaros.. But, i'd like to see pictures of them on the car. Anyone have links to smoke (possibly on a black car) or the clears with the body color painted in the "blank" part? Anyway, if you want them, get them. that's the cool thing to me, doing what you want.

well, i'm not typically one to get caught up in these arguments, and i believe " to each his own," but i thought i'd share a story about a camaro i saw the other day. it was white 96 or older, v6 convertible, super wing spoiler, dual center mounted fart cans, altezzas, and rk sport stickers where z or ss badges go. he comes from behind and flies by me, and then we get side by side at the light. he doesn't look over at me at all, but i'm checking out his car in shock. light turns green, and he chirps the tires and takes off. i jump on it, middle of 2nd i pass him and pull in front of him and shut down. he comes around side of me and gives me the finger. it ruined my whole day. its not just the style anymore, now i have to deal with f-body owners with the attitude too. 140 hp cars with big spoilers and buzzing exhaust just arent cool, IMO. i dont like the chrome altezzas, they look like silver painted plastic...the others are okay.

The IS300 has had those taillights since it was released in the U.S. The Japanese version of the car (the Toyota Altezza) was designed by the European styling firm Altezza and has always had the same style of taillight, so there is no IS300 with any other style of taillight.

I agree that the look good on the IS300, but Euro Tails rarely look good on anything else.

Not trying to bring the dead back to live but I have pics of my chrome Altezza lights on my 1994 Artic white Z28.

I don't know how to post a link so I just typed it long hand. The best pic of them is at the bottom.

ps-I received a ton of compliments at this car show just on the lights.

to put it plain and simply most ricers cant afford to mod their engine, plus they put car LOOKS over car PERFORMANCE. most ricers are teens.. teens dont have alot of $$ to dish out so ricing out, pimping out, whatever you wanna call it, is the main thing on their mind once they get a car.. even if it's domestic.

of course they're going to get flamed by the domestic community.. they know it too and dont really give a ****.. the only thing they care bout is looking cool and having their teens friends admire the looks of the car.

i think putting cf/smoked altezzas on a car is a pretty sweet idea, espically if it's black. the chrome ones arent bad ONLY if it's on the right color car.

Wow, the childishness of this board never gets old. Here is my opinion, I don't like Altezza's on Camaro's. Its not because they are an import thing, just because I think the design of them is terrible. There are some out there that have a really cool design, but the ones for the Camaro look cheap, like the ones for DSM eclipses. The ones for the new RSX as an example, look awesome, the fit the lines of the car, and the red lenses have a nice design around them. nobody makes a really nice tailight conversion for Camaro's. One day I will get around to making mine, the will be designed to mimic the 1969 Camaro 3 lense tailights.

2 questions?
Anyone seen any different mods for the tailights besides Altezza?

Anyone know where I can find pics of Altezzas on a Sebring Silver Camaro? preferably the chrome set.

And by the way - I don't think the Altezzas look that bad on certain color Camaros.
