Alternator housing?

Anyone know where I could find a chrome, polished or powdercoated housing for my alternator? I know the eternals are fine, I just need to replace the case as the chrome aftermarket one I have cracked during install and cannot be mounted properly. Thanks. -Jeff

Summit and Jegs sell housings....you may want to call and see if they'll work. Or do what I did, polish the stock housing.

The bearing in mine was whining so I knew it wasn't long. I took it to an alterntor rebuild ship and had them pull it apart. Took the two parts to a powder coating place and had them do the pieces in chrome with two coats of clearcoat. The alternator shop rebuilt it and I ordered a brushed aluminum pulley and fan blade. Looks great and the total cost is just slightly over what a new alternator would cost
