aftermarket hoods/spoilers

I'm looking for an SS hood for a '97 Z28. Which one of the aftermarket hoods fits best and has a good kit to make it functional? I've seen the GM restoration parts hood for $1,000 and that seems like alot, but say it comes with an air cleaner. Does this mean the whole air box kit?
Also interested in SS spoilers. Does the 98-02 inner(hatch) work with the 93-97's outers(1/4 panels)?
Where should I look for some silver 30th SS stripes for a hardtop? I'm thinking they should look good on black.
Thanks for any help or opinions!

Decals www.3rdgendecals.com or http://www.bfranker.badz28.com/vinyl/vinyl.htm I can't vouch for any hood places but ebay has oem hoods from time to time. All camaro spoilers interchange with each other in the years 93-02.

and ebay supposedly has some really nice SS spoilers for cheap as well.

Re: aftermarket hoods/spoilers

$1000 for an OEM SS and Air box would be a good deal i think. Buying an aftermarket seems hit or miss. It seems like i've heard of good and bad about every company that offers aftermarket hoods. One guy will swear that a certain brand makes a perfect while another guy says his hood made by the same company is wavy as hell. The OEM hoods never have that problem. I'm amazed how much nicer my buddy with a 97SS's hood is compared to mine. A night and day difference. My friend who is a very experienced body man did a lot of work to mine to get it looking pretty good.

I also forgot to post if you can afford OEM spoilers get one of those too. i've owned 2 OEM SS spoilers so far and 1 aftermarket. The aftermarket was trash compared to the real thing.

Thanks for the advice Z95.......I looked at the pics of your car and you've done a nice job. My plans are similar, just the 11" ZR1's and 30th stripes will be different.
Sounds like you've built a good runner also. I'm considering a 396, but still on the fence.
