Aftermarket Fenders?

Alright, so I've got to replace both of my fenders (1998 Camaro). Anybody know of any aftermarket ones (not OEM or stock-looking ones) other than the set that's on ebay? I'm just thinking there might be one "ricey" one that MIGHT look okay..?

To each their own. I like them, but I'm not sure of them. I'm sure there are other fenders out there though...?

Re: Aftermarket Fenders?

The quality of ebay fenders leaves much to be desired. I bought one for my car on ebay, the factory one has soft/semi-round edges where as the aftermarket has sharp and hard edges. They did not match. There was actually casting flash on some of the edges. They would take a lot of work to match them up.

Re: Aftermarket Fenders?

Have any pics, MadKilla, comparing the stock and ebay ones? I need both fenders, so they'd match in the end anyway. Thanks in advance.

Re: Aftermarket Fenders?

No pics, basically where the fender curves down to bolt onto the car, right where it flows into the hood is like a sharp 45 degree edge. Its the same way wherever there is an edge, even where they end at the door. The paint would be so thin there if they weren't prepped and rounded that I thought it would lead to serious problems. I would recommend buying used fenders off a wrecker car. It'll be cheaper and you could possibly find them already in a matching color. If you have to have one of the "stylized" aftermarket fenders its a crapshoot. Up to you though, if you get em post your thoughts.

Re: Aftermarket Fenders?

I wouldn't go with those fenders I posted. I was hoping for ones more styled like the C5 'Vettes, but nobody's finding them. The newest idea is to deeply modify Firebird fenders and do that, but who knows.. Thanks for the info.
