AC knob bulbs???

Resistors simply just limit the current to the item at hand (in this case the LED) if you use a resistor too large the LED will look dimmed out and not as bright, try hooking a LED to a 9v battery without a resistor an watch what happens you will see a bright flash an the inside turns brownish black because the current wasnt limited and you blew the LED out

ok i understand i thought you were talking about useing the dimmer switch on the panel itself, i will use 1 resistor per led, thanks bro for all the info

np, you cant really use the dimmer on these, they will dim slightly but the next notch on the **** down will most likely just turn the LEDs off completely they arent like a conventional bulb hope that all helps

hey bigkernel44 on the resistors will 1/4 watt work or do i have to buy the 1/2 watt

The bulb size is 37 and you can find led replacements that will push right into the stock plug (no modification) on www.ebaymotors.com just do a search for the bulb size.

are you serious? they have bulbs that size in blue, i was told they dont have them in color

thanks bro that saves me alot of time, ill just buy these babies in blue and pop them in, no wiring needed

Just a thought but you could always trim the base of the led (it is plastic) that way you can make the square peg fit the round hole

From the diagram... those sure look ALOT like #74 bulbs behind there.

Kernel: did you try actual #74 bulbs and they do not fit ? ?
