I've almost have all the part together for my LS1 brake upgrade. Now i'm going to paint the calipers while I've got them off the car. But what should I do with the calipers? Leave them silver? Polis them? Paint them same color?

I'm thinking that painting them red as well will be too much red, and it will look better not taking focus off the caliper. Polishing them would be cool, but i don't know what's involved with that, a lot of sanding?

 

You can polish them, but they will rust fairly soon. I think mine did within 2 days. Some clearcoat on top might protect it enough, or a powdercoated clear may keep the rust off completely. I wouldn't paint the brackets the same color, though. Black brackets wouldn't look bad with red calipers, in my opinion.
