A4 shifter ?'s

Will a T-handle from a TA work on a Camaro? What is needed to do the swap? Is it pretty easy to remove the old one from the Z28?

Mine is pretty worn out so I am looking at some options.

Thanks

Yes, its a direct replacement. Remove the U clip from the front of the shifter and it just pulls off. Put the T handle in place and put the clip back in.

I just bought one of these, been looking all over for one with the finger grips:

Thats the exact one I'm getting. Do I just remove the U clip with needle nose pliars??

Easier to just use a small screwdriver blade then a pliers to remove the clip. Much nicer than the button on top and looks better too.

If you ever get sick of that look you can try this:

Just an aftermarket shifter with an adaptor to use on automatics. You simply push down on the shifter to shift. Shortened the handle a bit.

It all depends on where you go. I know that the MBA ones are ridiculous in price. I was fortunate enough to be at Pep Boys one day and there was this aftermarket kit for the shifter and pedals for only $9.90. It also included a keychain (not important) and four stainless tire valve caps (very nice). The handle came with the adapter so I did not buy anything additional. The pedals are pretty sweet looking also. I'll post some pics later.

$30 shipped. There are a few more on there for slightly less, but its an auction and not buy it now.

Swap over to one of these and you can get some really cool shifters.
