98 fog bulbs in a 95?

i was wondering if a fog lamp bulb from a 98 would work in a 95. they look the same but one has a 90 degree bend. i think it will still fit but what about the differences in wattage?

If anything the '98 bulb would probably be lower in wattage. Go to www.Sylvania.com and lookup the replacement bulb for each vehicle, and then go to www.donsbulbs.com to find the wattage for each of them. (Your '95 will be a 885 - the '98 will be a 894 - just wanted you to have those links in case your ever in question again).

As long as the plug "prongs" line up it'll fit I think put 95 style bulbs in my friends 99 by mistake and they work fine

but they aren't gonna be any brighter

the 894 is different wattage. will that matter? i mean i want the brightest possible bulb without melting anything.

Did you go to www.donsbulbs.com and check it out? It shows the 885's as 50w and the 894's as 37.5w, so the '98+ bulbs would be dimmer. The 885 is the most powerful bulb you can get for these housings.
