98-02 firebird HIDs

Anybody done this yet? I did a search a while back and haven't really come up with anything yet. Is it possible without a completely custom job?

I have This DDM Kit (55 Watt, 5000K) in my Subaru Legacy and it is definitely quite a bit brighter

The kit is about as plug-and-play as you will find, simply connect to the harness to the battery, and the harness connects to your factory headlight plug, bulbs run off of that.

Took me all of 1/2 hour to install including mounting the Ballasts in the grill so they were hidden But they are small, in a Camaro they could mout to just about any flat surface.

I paid $165 W/ Shipping, but the kits are now down to $95 + shipping, so maybe $130

Couldn't be happier with the result

well see thats the thing.. The 98-02 has a sealed beam headlight on the firebird. The LT1 (93-97) birds have a different housing, albeit sealed beam as well from the factory, that can be purchased that allows plug n play bulbs, where the LS1 birds dont have anything like that out there AFAIK. isn't 55watt HID actually insanely bright though? LOL I had 35 watt in my silverado and even that was crazy bright.. 55watt just seems like it would be blinding.

Yup 55 Watt is Super Bright... But the Subaru Headlights in our 98 are so poor that it actually seems about as bright as the projector beams in our 2005

Didn't know the newer Firebird lights are sealed beam That would present a problem unless you can crack it open, but sounds like probably not
