I was wondering if the 30th cars came with a white gauge face? I know there are aftermarket ones out there but I took the cluster apart and tried to figure out if it was an aftermarket face but I believe that it is not. I can get pics obviously but I wanted to see if this was a factory option because I absolutley hate it lol...

It wasn't an option, i still remember very clearly when my parents were purchasing a brand new 97 SS, white gauges were not on the list I don't think they even existed back then.

 

I really don't like white face gauges for the most part. Other colors I am fine with. White is ehhhh because the numbers aren't always black.

I think the factory black gauges are good. McNord ones in just about any color are good.

 

Well im going to have to pull it out once I am home for the semester, I mean I may be missing something to this gauge face but it appears that there isnt an overlay it is all one piece. I really didnt think that it was a factory option but the way it appears I just dont see how it is aftermarket. I guess I will find out more once I get it in the garage for the winter and start tearing into it...
