I was wondering if it is possible to install an '87 trunk hatch on an '86 camaro so I can get rid of that stupid high stop light. Will it mount the same as the one on the '86?

The hatch will fit, I put a 1992 on my 1989. The hatches are all the same from 82 to 92, the earlier models didn't have 3rd brake lights. The later models only changed the position of the 3rd brake light and spoiler.
