ok, i got a 97 v6 camaro, i already upgraded to dual exhaust, but i just took a stock z28 exhaust that i got off a friend. it sounds alright, sounds good at low rpms, after 3500rpm it starts to sounds ricey . . . i was thinking about getting an 80 series flowmaster muffler, just the muffler not the american thunder kit for a v6 . . . before i go and slap down the 110 bucks i was wondering if neone had a sound file of the muffler on their 6, or even a sound file of the american thunder exhaust, i figure it cant sound that much different, its only piping, any sound files would be great, thanks matt

 

ive got a 3.4 with 3 inch manifold back... highflow cat.. to a 40 series flowmaster...from there its 3.5 " to 18" slash cut chrome 4" tips... sounds real good low low RPM... but no matter what once u get above 3 grand starts sounding like a 6 with big exhuast....

but it sounds nice just taking it easy..


and only piping ? piping makes a huge difference..cats too

 

V6...not quite a V8, not quite a 4 banger.

Down low, it'll resemble more of the V8...up top, more of the 4 banger.

Sort of an indentity crisis.

 

man 80 serries are awosme the sound soo good...pretty loud though...buddie of mine has them on his 999 ws-6 and he gets complements all the time..but on a 6? dont know.....heres the sulution sell it and get a lt-1 or a ls-1

 

friend had it and it sounds good at idle....alittle too poppy for my in the high end
