Yea but I think that still just provides two HID lights with High/Low functionality and not 4 HID lights like our cars where made for.

I would love to make ALL 4 Lights HID, but thats going to cost A LOT. If I understand right I would need to buy two complete HID kits... I think I will just stick with the Low beam conversion for now..

Thanks everyone for the info! I hope these housings hold up to the HID setups better than what was just posted.

Well for us LT1 Bird owners I would have to go that way unless I put projectors in which would cost me a few more bucks! Still in college and don't have a ton of money to waste!

In any case these housings may only be good if your gonna go all the way and get a HID kit for em, as I assume HIDs are cooler since they use less watts.

Wow... I just called these people to ask about this, and to see what they would do if this happened when I ordered. The guy told me that if my car was "old" that the battery, and wires sometimes produce a higher then 12V load to the headlights causing the bulbs to get more power thus melting the housing. This is why they sell the "upgraded" wiring harness also.

Are these people retarded?? You car is a 12V system I agree, BUT once it is on it produces around 14V or so to charge the battery. The housings look GREAT for an HID setup, but I would NOT recommend these ya hoo's for the halogen upgrade.

Just thought I would let everyone know what I just found out straight from them.

It'd look better if all the lights on the front end were the same brightness. I'd leave it stock unless you are going to do the whole front.

Does anyone know of any other company that sells replacement housings like http://store.racinglab.com/redicutsebeh.html? I'd like to buy non-HID replacements for my car and use an H4 bulb.

Re: 6000K HID Kit in my T/A

What year are you looking to replace? 93 to 97 or 98 to 2002?

I have a 1998 Trans Am and I just ordered a complete set of highs and lows from here http://eurolamps.com/eurolamps/camaro_headlights.htm

I have heard a lot of people saything that these are good. They use GLASS housings..

Another great place is www.rallylights.com and check out the 150mm replacemnets. They look OUTSTANDING; however they will cost you.

hey guys those look awesome, i have several porsche, audi, and bmw xenon setups, and i would rather run my bulbs, and ballasts and such, instead of the kit, but want to use the lights in this thread, just wondering how these are holding up, and wonder if anybody does make the glass sealed beam conversion lights for our cars

I'm running hella 165mm free-form housings with Kaixen H4 hi/low 6500K kit. So far so good over here and decent beam pattern for not having projectors.

Wow, I started this post a long time ago. I just sold my Trans Am last tuesday (5-11-07) and the lights have never given me any problems. After having these lights in my car I will ALWAYS have HID lights from here on out.

And in case you are wondering I am looking to replace my Trans Am with an 04 Cobra. Yes it is a Ford but I have always loved them and now I can get one. OH and it is getting HIDs
Thanks guys

When you bought your kit, did you get the H4 hi&low option?
