4th Gen wheels on a 3rd Gen
4th Gen wheels on a 3rd Gen
I want to put 5 spoke SS wheels on my 85 'roc...what do I need to do, I know the backs will work, but the fronts will not fit. And what kind of abuse will the spacers or whatever hold up to? The 85 has a built 383 and soon to have a T-56 trans behind it. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!!!

I'm sure they will fit, but you will need spacers. You might want to check with Andris at www.skulte.com . They actually offer the spacers you need. Not cheap though...

Swapping a 4th gen rear into a 3rd gen
You will probably wanna swap in a 4th gen rear to avoid the use of spacers on the rear with the amount of power you might be generating. Generally, good quality spacers will provide trouble-free driving. Just don't buy the cheapos from a no-name company. Don't wanna lose one at highway speed.
Try www.vettebrakes.com www.skulte.com www.adaptitusa.com are all good sources and you can expect to pay about $150-$180 for a set of two.
