What's up D? any progress?
I have a dilema... I have 3 housings- broke 1...
in 2 of the housings I have Showoff 100/80W 9005's (highs). and a stock low in the remaining one.
I'm leaning toward the Hella FF75 conersion, but I don't wanna have to drill out the stock mounting brackets (vertical alignment screw/bracket)- I want the conversion to be reversible.
So what should I do? buy another housing w/ a stock low and just run my hyper-highs for a while.
I also considered putting my High harnesses on my low wiring, so my hyper-highs would serve as my low beams, then run hellas in the highs. or do hella lows and keep the highs, or go all hellas.
SO, could Paul or someone skilled in the ways o' photoshop do the following:
Black 97 w/ stock housings in lows, hellas in highs; and also stock highs and hella lows???
Thanks, I'll just look at Dalton's car for the "full hella" visual.

Lata,
Hey J -
I am working on the guide still...things have just been super busy for me, and I haven't had much time here lately. That should be changing soon though, I am getting cable at home in the next week or so, so be ready for it shortly after that.
Hella's + Stock lights =
Hella's + Hella's =
Stock lights + Stock lights = Not bad looking, just can't see.
See where I am going with this?
Tell you what - if you want to stick to the stock lights, I have two Guide housings with Showoff 9005's (Krypton Purple) siliconed in...AIM me or something...
Otherwise - your cheapest quickest fix would be to go to AutoZone (Advance didn't have them when I looked) and pick up a couple of 9005 harness ends - two of them = $5 or so. Then splice them into your 9006 (low) harness, and put your highs in the lows spot and put the lows in the highs spot until you decide what you want to do - or find another housing. if you can't find the 9005 harness - I have a couple of those too.
Of course, I am sure it doens't look too pleasant with three housings in there - how bad broke is the other? Is it good enough cosmetically to leave it in the highs spot?
If you want to do the Hella conversion - Go all the way. It is very easy, and my setup is completely reversible.

K. Well should i get Dalton's 9005 purple showoff's for my highs/lows and run both sets (purple and blue) of 9005's? Or simply have my high beams as the lows and only have 1 high-beam???
-J
Oh, and if i do get his 9005 purples, should i run blue lows and purple highs or vice versa???

My advice =
The purple and the blue together wouldn't look good at all, it would just be for pure necessity, and if you have good visual quality with your highs, then just use them as your lows. I use my highs once or twice a year, honestly, so I don't think they are that important.
If you do decide to get my purple's though (which is just your choice, I don't care if you do, just offering to help you out) I would run them in the highs. Reason being, they look very purple HID simulated which dramatically takes away from the brightness - Paul will agree.

ok cool.
I'll just stick w/ the one high till i get some hellas.
For the harness swap, how would you recommend reconnecing the cut harnesses? (solder, twist n' tape, use some type of connector, other)
Thanks,
