does anyone know how to get the stock shifter **** (the black ball) off of the shifter. I have a 3rd Generation Camaro and i do not kno how for the life of me to get the shifter ball off...so that i can change the shift ****??

 

I don´t know for sure on the third gen Camaros; I can only guess that it might be the same as the fourth gen. For the fourth generation there is a steel insert with the shape of a staple that goes in from the back side of the ****er ****. You just pull it out with needle nose pliers or pry it with a small screwdriver.

 

yep, small flat head.....it's just wedged in there. flip it out and the **** will lift right up.
