Question 3rd Brake light mod

Hey guys,

I'm new in the group and was just wondering if anyone have one of these in their car.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2470066029

How does it look? was it easy to install?

Dan

I have the Z28 brake light mod. i think it looks good at night. it also makes the light look blacked out during the day which matches the rest of my blackouts on the car

These aren't overly difficult to install but are one of the more difficult vinyl installations. If it is a "properly designed" overlay you'll need to remove the 3rd brake light to install it. If it is one that can be installed without removing the light, you'll almost for sure get some light bleed through which doesn't look very good at all.

i went with the Z28 on the third brakelight, but i had one made by a local graphics place that does vinyl. was pretty easy to install if you remove the light assembly. just measure what size letters you need, and choose the style you want. have em cut that out of a square peice of vinyl larger than the light assy. then just simply center the lettering when you apply and trim the rest away. i think i paid like 5 or 10$ at most doing it this way

Thanks again, guys!

It is sometimes hard to compete with the ebay guys who sell these for $8.50 but if the vinyl isn't that great and their pattern is not the best, then I guess it isn't much of a deal

Thanks again for the support guys. I'm glad to give you guys somegood stuff you are haping with while not draining the pocketbook at the same time
