is 3M the best window tint?

most likely going to have my windows tinted today and wanted to know if there's anything better than 3M...or is 3M even good?

huper optic is pretty darn good as well. Pricey and limited installers IIRC.

Every manufacturer makes some high end film, and some rather cheap films, look at that price you are paying, that is usually a clue. Manufacturer name alone means squat in tinting. Some of the best films out there are made by the same people that make some marginal "economy" films. Find a shop and tinter you trust.

thanks fellas.

i asked the local fbody people who they use but i just wanted to check with yall about the actual tint.

i've have used 3M before, but rolled that vehicle shortly after so i never knew how well it held up. :doh:

I've used LUMAR , Solar Ray and 3M before, they've all lasted for a LONG time. IMO though I liked the 3M the best. That's just my $.02, all of them were pretty high in quality.

no llumar is ....i have worked with it and have it on my BMW ....their clear bras are also better ...

The Sungard tint looks interesting to me. 68% heat rejection from 12% tint.

ssvegas, what percentages did you end up getting? Price? I'm assuming you're in Nevada.
