335 rear tires

Can I push a 335/30/18 rear Tire on an 18*10.5 Z06 wheel. Also how hard would it be to fit a tire that wide in my wheel well. I know alot of banging on the inner wheel well would need to take place. I also dont like ruuning wide front tires, Dont like how they take bumps and jump all over so how would a 335 rear compliment a 245 front. Would it look bad? Thanks

I dont know about 18s. I have 17s with 275/40s and the rear with 315/35s on 11s in the rear. I only had to bang on the front lower part of the wheel well just a little and Im fine. No rubbing at all and I dont even have a panhard bar and many say you have to put on. If that is the right size tire for a 10.5 rim then I say you are fine because the larger the rim you will find that you want get any rubbing.
As for wide tires up I love the tightness of the car now. Car seems to feel like it is lowered and really has that sports car feel now.

I used to have 275s up front and hated it. Even after getting the car aligned a few times it was still off, it used to take bumps like crap and send the steering wheel flying on or the other direction and it constantly felt like car would just lose control. I went back to 245s up front and must say the feels much more stable and rock solid. Bumps dont phase the steering at all and the alignment is perfect.

Look for posts by "kmook". He ran 335/35-17's on his car for a while.

Black01_Z:

If you are having severe "bump steer" problems, is your car lowered? If not, you may have had a suspension problem. I put 275/40-17's all the way round on my car in 1995, and ran them until 2000 with great results, even putting more than 40K miles on the GS-C's with no abnormal wear of any kind. Handling was superb. Then I switched to 315/35-17 DR's in the back, keeping a set of 275/40-17 BFG KDW's in the front, and encountered no problems with the handling at all.

Im not worried about 285 245 as there is a much smaller discrepancy. I had 275s and 245s before I put my car away for the winter but its time for new tires and want something much meatier in back. Anyone have pics of something along the lines of 315 rear 245 fronts?
