I don't think 315's will fit on a 9" rim will they?

I have 17x9's and 315's on the rear. They fit but some people don't think that they look right. IMO I love them. and if you pull to close to a curb you scrape the tire not the rim!

And if you corner at high speed with them and the bead doesn't hold, you're SOL becuase the tire isn't approved for a wheel that small. Nitto says 10.5" minimum for 315 tires.

Your funeral.

Last time I chime in. Putting on a tire that is too large puts your car and you at risk. You stress the sidewall and balloon it out. To use the whole section width you just gained, you have to underinflate your tires. Underinflated tires wear faster and run hotter. In a high speed turn, consider even a defensive move on the interstate, and you're at a higher risk for something to go wrong because the sidewall and bead are stressed. Of course a lot of people get by doing it, but if you're either not getting the full contact patch you just upgraded too, or you're underinflating tires to try to get most of it back, why not just step up and by 10.5" or 11" wheels.
