Question 255/35/18 on 18x8's?

Thoughts, suggestions, anything?

Will it work, is it not recommended for some reason, is there going to be rubbing, etc.???

Car the wheels are going to end up on is not lowered as of yet, but probably will be. They are on a lowered car currently with 245/40's and all is well.

Anything you can tell me is appreciated - thanks guys.

Thanks AW - I have heard stories similar to what you are talking about - so I'm not too worried about the back really -

Main thing I am wondering is if a 255 will be fine on a 8" rim, and about the fronts rubbing under hard turning. Was thinking surely someone would know for sure???

They recommend 8.5 to 10 inch rims for the 255/35/18s.

That being said, It would work just fine. You may get slightly more bulge out of it, but there are people around here putting 315s on 9 inch rims!!!

Honestly I don't think you will have a problem at all.

I would go with 40 series on anything less than 19" wheels.

- more rim protection
- Less wheel gap
- better ride
