Yeah man I agree... thats why if indeed it does fit perfect it is a STEAL... I REALLY want to put a "SS" hood on my 02 but the OEM ones are SOOOO much money..$500-$800 locally.
this could be a great find.

do not buy form hoods4sale on ebay, I've seen there hoods, fitment and quality is awful, just do a google search, there lots of threads about them.

i have the ss hood on my z28 and i dont know if the guy didnt put it on right or what but on the driver side front it kinda sticks up a little bit.. kind of annoying but i dont know how to fix it.. anyone have any ideas? could take a pic n post it if needed or if anyone wants one

p.s. was on the car when i bought it lol

well thats the end of that. thanks Kris for the help and input. I guess I am still going to be looking at scrap yards and part outs

Something to be careful about concerning hood sellers is that the pictures they use of the hood installed are almost ALWAYS real SSes with the OEM hood. I'm not saying that is always the case, but I see it all the time. It's not even their actual product on the car most of the time.

I had that hood on my first Z- it was a nice fitting hood and got lots of compliments. Plus its not your crappy looking SS aftermarket hood that seem so common...

I bought my aftermarket SS hood from americansportscar.com It was roughly $700 shipped to my office. Fit was very good, my painter was impressed with the quality and fitment.

i personally tend to stray to the cowl hood. idk why i just think its a better look. just my 2 cents!
