1971 camaro badge

Hello everyone. First post here. I have a opinion question for you all. I have a 1971 RS, last year I bought fender badges, but got the ones for 68,69 with a different script. I would like to get the correct fender badge for the year, but it seems that the correct year badges only come with bolt attachment. I was wondering what you all thought about just slapping the 69 camaro badge on a 71? The car is not in a original state, so I'm not a purist by any means. Thanks in advance.

Interesting to see if you get a response. Only people that come here any more seem to be a few 4th Gen LT1 owners. Sad state of affairs.

That's too bad. I was hoping to get some good feedback. Anyways, how about you admin guy. What do you think about my badging dilemma. Thanks again.

Re: 1971 camaro badge

You're talking about the full “RALLY SPORT” lettering on the fenders. The difference (68/69 lower case w/ hyphen vs 70-73 upper case, no hyphen) is fairly noticeable. My initial reaction to your question before responding, was go with the correct 70-73. Had no idea whether they used studs or adhesive. If you don’t want to drill holes for the studs, find a way to remove them and figure a way to use adhesive. I tend to get hung up on the details.

Might actually get a response…. never know who might show up.
