What wheels are you considering ? Our cars will easily fit 18's or 19's, the only reason you would have to modify anything is if the wheels are very wide... like 11" wide...etc.

I'm running 285/35/18 tires on the rear and my wheels are 10.5" wide and I didn't have to modify anything.

275/35/18 would be good

245 is WAY to skinny

The 18x9.5 with the 285/35-18 won't be a problem as long as the wheels have the correct "offset". Anything in the range of 45-56mm seems to work.

The 245/40's and the 275/40's will work but, if you want to keep the stock rolling diameter, 275/35's is the way to go instead of 40's. Just wondering, why do you want to run such a narrow tire in front? 275's fit with no problems/modifications at all.

245/40-18 is kind of narrow, but it is the correct outside diameter, comparable to the stock tires. But you want a 275/35- or 285/35-18 in the back, to avoid mismatching the outside diameter, and throwing your speedometer and odometer off by 4%. The larger diameter also has the same effect as going to lower numerical rear gears, and increases HP loss due to the larger inertial loads.

Sometimes a "good deal" isn't as good as it seems.

well to be honest. i am running 275/40/17s with 373 gears at the moment. and well my speedo is off at this time anyways..which isnt much of a thing i can do. since i have a 3.4 camaro.

so i should go with 275/35s all the way around correct? i think i will just save up some more money
