18" Drag Radials now available
I see a lot of people looking for something sticky for 18" wheels....
JEG's catalog now lists several 18" drag radials in the BFG g-Force T/A Drag Radial line:
265/40-18, fits 9-10" rim, 26.2" diameter (approx 1/2" larger than stock)
275/35-18, fits 9-11" rim, 25.6" diameter (stock)
295/35-18, fits 10-12" rim, 26.2"
315/30-18, 11-12" rim, 25.6"
345/30-18, 12-14" rim, 26.2"
These are written up as "intended for sport compacts", but the load ratings (1,200 - 1,600#) are consistant with a 4th Gen F-Body.
Tread depth is only 5/16", but the tread design is intended to shed water so they can be used on the street.
To me "18" drag radial" is an oxymoron, but since a lot of people are looking for them, I thought this info might be of interest....
.
Tire Rack sells them.

I'm sorry but BFG's blow, My friend bought some new and they ended up blowing out on the high way because they had stress cracks and BFG will not warranty them
and these tires were exactly 2 months old and had never been raced but they apparently just don't care and blew him off...
BTW nitto has 18 inch drag radials
that's what I'm getting
PS: my friend wanted me to post this

Yes.... Nitto has a 305/45-18 drag radial. It is 28.8" diameter..... just a tad too large to fit in a 4th Gen wheel well.
I've had 315/35-17 T/A Drag Radials on my car for 3 years with no problems.....
