Question 17x11 ZR1 36mm pics please?

Does anyone have good pics of some 17x11's with the real ZR1 offsett of 36mm on the rear of their car? I came across a good deal on a set, but would like to see what they look like on the car first. I searched this site and others but could not find good pics of this offsett. Does anyone have some?

The 36mm offset looks like ***. Sticks out way to far sorta like all those redneck 3rd gens where they make the rear wheels stick out of the fender way too much. Do yourself a favor and get the correct wheel offset of 50mm. Will look MUCH better.
Hope this helps.

Brent, thanks for the pic. I don't think the second bottom link is 36mm though. If it is you can't tell. Does anyone else have pics of a 36mm 17x11 wheel and tire on a F-body?

I don't know the guy personally but have known of him for several years. The article talks about his 36mm offset wheels and how he could have gone with the GS 50mm offset but didn't want to. I see no reason why he would lie?

Brent....

The Shapiro article is extremely difficult to follow, but I think it says he bought genuine GM 17x11 GS, black finish wheels from Dal, when he was still at Lambert Buick. A GS wheel is a real 50mm offset - I had the ones from George's 30th SS, and measured them before I sold them for him. They were genuine GM GS wheels, and the backspace was identical to my AFS 50mm replicas.

The article then describes how he had to have the black paint stripped, the inner fenders beat in, and then had the fender lips rolled. I agree its confusing, but the way I read it, and the way the pictures look, those are 50mm GS wheels. They sit very similar to my AFS 50mm offset replicas:

Yep, you're right, Fred. I read through the article again (more closely this time) and see where I missed the key point of him saying "This is what I ordered" and also the part about the stripping the black finish.

For years I have thought he had real ZR1 wheels and read (or I should say quickly skimmed) the article with that in my head.

Sorry about that, JA_Medure, you were correct in that those aren't the 36mm offset wheels.

It's ok Brent. I came across a good deal on some 17x11's that are in 36mm so I wanted to see some good pics. Does anyone else have any?

Thanks for all of the input guys. Does anyone have 36mm pics on a firebird or TA? I have read that on these cars the 36mm does not stick out as the rear is supposed to be wider? Can anyone verify this?
