Question 10.5" or 11" wheel questions

i have my wheel selection narrow down to 3 different wheels. i have to decide between SS/Zr1 wheels, z06 wheels, or y2k thin spokes for my camaro. ok i don't know if this will play a factor in wheel choosing or not, but i would like to put the biggest wheel/tire combo on the back that i can. here is the kicker though....... i don't want the wheel to stick out any farther in the back than the factory wheel would. i would like to keep as much tread under the wheel well as possible. i know that this might require some extra fender work, but that is ok, as long as it is not like tubbing my car or anything like that. i just wanna know what would be necessary to run some big-o-tires out back. would a 10.5" rim be easier to run out back without the wheel sticking out? i can't emphasize enough that i don't want the wheel to stick out any further than stock. i know that people say a 17x11 will fit fine with the proper offset, but every picture that i look at, i still see that the wheel sticks out farther. i don't know what needs to be done, so i was hoping someone could tell me what i need to do.

thanks

thomas

The 50mm offset zr1 will fit flush with the top of the fender. With the way our Zs are shaped some tire will stick out at the bottom, though. I have a nice pic of someones 315/35-17, PM me if you want me to send it.
