I have a 2001 SS with dual center exhaust, but I'm thinking of changing to the quad center, I've seen pictures of the quad and I think it really looks sharp. I respect everyones opinon on this web sight. So I'm wandering what does look best? dual or quad and can I buy just the quad tip. Thanks!

 

I like the dual alot more, but the quad looks ok with the oem ground effect piece. It's the quads ground effect that makes it look ugly IMHO.

 

I like them both. I have always been a fan of quad tips, I have some myself but at the regular location. I have to say though that I like the dual better. The only reason being that I think the quad set up is not available in chrome or polished. I think it's just greyish. But I may be wrong, I have not looked into that for a long time. If you can get it either chrome or polished then I would go quad all the way!

 

Thanks for the responds, very-very sharp car by the way. I wander if I could just buy the quad tips and fit in place of my dual tips. If they came chrome I know they would look better then the gray center dual. OK! thanks again, I don't think I'll be able to find the center quad tip for sale anyway so I'll just have to go with the dual.

See, I HAVE seen the center duals in chrome/polished, actually I have seen them on a few cars and that is the only way I have seen them. In real life I have not seen them in grey. So I thought that is the only way they came, in chrome or polished. They look sweet like that. But if yours are grey maybe you should get the duals in chrome, they look 100% better IMO.

hey barbs i have the quad on my z, i love it, i do like the looks of both, i had been tryin to find the dual center but gave up, where abouts in wisconsin are you located, come spring time maybe we can swap, i have some pics on my cardomain site.lemme know what you think

I prefer the quad tips, the duals are very large and clumsy looking, but I guess that's just me.

 

I like the dual dual system...nothing wrong w/ the quad tip, just prefer the other

 

I really like the look of the quad system - that's what I would like on my car.

Backed up with a GMMG exhaust.
