*pic request* 98-02 Appearance package
Hey everyone I was trying to find some pics of the late 4th gens with the SS appearance package and also has the ground effects of the late 98-02 appearance package, Im interested in doing something similar but Im not sure of the product outcome. also pics with either the zr1's or 10 spoke would be nice.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Here's an SS with some sort of bodykit on it. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2000-...item4151b9f99b
I'm not a big collector of ground effect pics, so can't really help much.

[unsolicited opinion]I think ground effects look pretty ugly on the 98-02 Camaros regardless of the brand. I haven't seen one 98-02 Camaro yet where I thought the ground effects were an improvement. The best thing that can be done to those cars is lower them, get some nice wheels, and do something about the stock grill insert. Of course, a nice hood and SS spoiler go a long way, but that's not necessary.[/unsolicited opinion]
I agree. GFX can look okay on '93-'97, but I can't think of any '98-'02 that I particularly like. The owners of the '99 GTZ Camaro used the factory sport appearance package gfx but had the front one modified to fill the gap in the front. Their hood is a one-off custom hood, not an SS one, but it's the closest thing to what you're wanting that I can think of.

There was a guy named Whistler who did some crazy bodywork on his car that was pretty decent too. Just for kicks, here's one of the few pics I saved of his car:

I don't know what the heck he did with his blinkers.

thanks guys and yeah I know that some gfx packages are over the top but the GTZ example is nice also the whistler example is sweet I wanted to run the factory appearance package with and ss hood and wing but have since parted ways with my SS wing and am currently trying to find the Dick Harrell style wing. wheels I feel can make or break the car so something like the zr1's and 10 spokes are what Im leaning towards if not either one of those then I want a mesh style wheel with deep dishes.
change
I saw an example of it on a vert and it did not look great. Talk to a guy named Jimmy local to my area that has a navy blue SS with the appearance package. maybe Ill just stick with the simplified look. Blacked out berger panel and SS apearance with 10 spokes or ZR1's...its just such a cliche look for the camaro. maybe some custom body work. try to stand out a bit.
I know for a fact that not everyone has the same taste but this is a good friend of mines 4th gen and i think it looks really good with the SS wing and ground effects.

take in mind that is is also lowered and with 18 inch wheels.

Sweet
Thats a nice car props to him. But is there any chance you have some pics with the Vert? because All I see are hard tops and t-tops I cant find any clean examples of verts with this that doesn't look to chick-ish.
This was just posted on ebay, a Z28 with the appearance package and SS hood

nice example
thats not too bad looking its definitely a possibility of me doing it but I think it will be hard to maneuver the car around an autox course or any race track. Have you personally pushed your car in that sense?
Nice
UnV thats a good example have you lowered ur car? cus that looks really stock at that height. I have the Eibach pro kit on my car and the appearance package might create a forcefield around all speed bumps and driveways so I cant go over it. and for now I need new wheels and I was gonna get me some 17's zr1 vettes or 10 spoke but I might have to go bigger since it will be so much lower
That ground effects package (I think that's called Xenon) seems like it would be particularly difficult to have on the car. I bet it'd be sooooo easy to scrub that front piece off on a speed bump, curb, or even dip in the road or driveway.
