Question will i need additional clearancing be required for my new Oliver rods on my stroker?

i should have rotating assembly back tomorrow or next day.

i pulled the Lunati Pro Mod rods out, and am installing the Oliver Billet rods. I beam

is anyone currently runing this setup? obviously it has already been machined for the previous setup, just wondering if there was a difference between the two.(as far as clearancing was concerned)

TIA!

With all else being equal if you set the rods on top of eachother and the Oliver Rod is smaller then it should not need additional clearancing. If I remember right the Oliver billet Rods are clerance friendly.

Tanner, I'm running the Oliver I beam 6' rods in my 396. Not sure how wide your old rods were, but here's what i ran into. Had to clearence the block alittle more than my old ealge rods, and then the rods hit on the cam, so had to clearance the rods. Cam is a solid with 640 lift. Wasn't fun at all, but it all pays off in the end, as you well know.

thanks PNYKLR, i compared the lunatis up against mine and they seem to be ok.. i have the 5.85 rods in my motor. but as it goes together it will be checked hey it just seems that i might be able to lighten the car some more

the rods and pistons are a weight savings over the last combo, and i am also installing the ATI balancer.
