Any way I can get by with the stock radiator?

 

I run NPG and I have a stock system except for the 160 stat and 7lb cap. No problems.

 

What kind of cam/compression gas are you running, and why a 7 lb cap?

 

I have a 215/224/112 cam, stock compression. The 7lb cap is what Evans told me to use.

 

If the boiling point of the liquid is high, there is no need to put the cooling system under as much pressure, which only serves to raise the boiling point. I believe Chuck said some run a neutral cap, no poundage at all, but feel free to check the thread for that info, could have been someone else.

 

Type in Evans NPG and Quickss in the search function for the Advanced forum. There is an informative thread on it.

 

I thoguth Chuck was big on not using Evans unless you do some cooling system mods, and only if your very familiar with the stuff? is there a difference between NPG and NPG+
