windage tray requires different mounting hardware, so if you used ARP bolts or such, you are kinda SOL. I would put a canton pan on it, since you gotta drop the pan anyway.

Unless moroso, or somebody makes another easier alternative. But the canton pans work well, have built in scraper/screen

The only alternative would be a Canton or Stef's screen type windage tray that you bolt or weld onto the pan. But that's really more work than just getting a pan with it on there already, unless you already have a good pan and a welder and want to save a few bux.

You can use the stock windage tray with ARP bolts, You just have to get the right ones, I'm using the windage tray with HV pump with ARP bolts and stock pan on my 385. Here's a pic http://www.cardomain.com/ride/624351/1

I know for sure on my 93LT1 that the pickup was too close to the pan and it did the excact same thing!!

dont know if you have concidered this but have you checked the crankshaft endplay, on some manual cars the constant depressing of the clutch can cause some play in the crank and is apparent if oil pressure drops under WOT
