i am building an engine for my 2nd gen camaro and already have a cam with a .480 lift and was wondering what the easiest/cheapest way to accomodate this lift for the vortecs is. i have read that the max lift for these heads is less than my cam.
the cam is a crane, grind #h-302
a quick answer would be greatly appreciated as i am afraid the heads i want will soon be sold.

you can replace the vortec retainers with a different "thinner" set that will allow that much lift as long as you have the correct spring. hit up your local machine shop.
