Valvetrain Geometry problems?

I would like to go with a higher ratio rocker arms when I rebuild the heads this winter. When higher ratio rocker arms come into the picture I realize that the valve guides suffer from a higher degree of wear. I was wondering what material I could use to run a tight tolerance (so as to not get oil into the combustion chamber) and still retain longevity. If I were to run something soft like bronze guides and seals couldnt I run a tighter tolerance like .0006 in.? And if I were to run something a bit harsher to hold up to the added wear better could I retain that same tolerance?

Also is there any materials that mate good for the valve to guide friction ratio? ie, If I were to run bronze guides and titanium valves vs bronze guides and aluminum valves? Or should I have the valves coated with some sort of friction reducing coating?

As a P.S.- A friend of mine said that 2.00 valves can be used in an LT1 head without reworking the valve seats. Is he correct?
