Tool belt for engine rebuild..

Hey guys,

I'm going to be pulling the motor here in the next week or so... I was hoping that someone could give me the rundown on exactly what tools I will need to rebuilt my engine into a 383 stroker...

I am not goign to be doing any of the machining. I will leave that part (including bore, hone, align hone, deck, clearancing all to the pros). I just want to know what tools are necessary for assembly once all of the parts are bought machined, etc...

I have done cam swaps before, so the valvetrain work is not an issue, I already have the required tools for that stuff...

Are any special tools needed to install the cam bearings? Freeze plugs? crank bearings (rod and main)? connecting rods? pistons? etc...

I know i'll need a ring compressor to install the rings, is there any particular one that works really well on LT1's?

Also, will I need any special measuring tools for measuring clearances, etc?

Thanks in advance guys...

There's an excellent reference called:
