Taste Test...

Thought I'd give you guys a taste test. Brought the motor home and mocked it up on the stand. Had some life changes just recently but hopefully I'll have it in the car and on the dyno pretty soon....

No, not a super vic. It's a dart wilson. Still an off the shelf piece but it was the ONLY off the shelf piece that had a flange big enough to work with.

Re: Taste Test...

That looks like a good bit of work! Nice cylinder heads and collectors to boot.

How similar are the ports to an LT5 head? I see 4 injectors per bank, as opposed to eight.

Any photos, or MFG links for those heads?

They are nothing like an LT5 head. These heads still use pushrods and use a forked rocker to actuate two valves at one time. There are 8 injectors that will sit underneath the rails, I just decided not to put them in.

Here's the manf's website: Arao Engineering

We must have a video, with audio. I've never heard anything like what you've built. What RPM range are you going for power?

My friend is going to come to the dyno tuning session with me and will have video as well as pics so no worries. I don't plan to turn much more than 7K.

Re: Taste Test...

Forever had ended that is how long the mythical 32 valve heads to make it into a running car.

Hope it puts down some nice numbers.

For all the money you have in the bad boy I am suprised you did not clean or dress it up a bit more, but then again it is a daily driver.

That is the only setup worthy of having a clear valve cover so you could see what really goes on to move all the internals

Re: Taste Test...

If it's going in a Camaro a crab cap will help with clearance.

LOL...it has been a long time coming. The day after I took it home, my engine builder called me and said he panicked for a second when he opened the shop that morning because my motor wasn't sitting there for the first time in like 3 years. Craziness....As far as dressing it up, thats not my style and just never has been. I'm more about function over form. You can mess with the pretty stuff once it's all together and putting down consistent numbers. If I bling'd it all out and then it blew up on the dyno, that would just be more wasted money

Actually clearance isn't an issue with this particular setup.

Thumbs up Re: Taste Test...

Well, looks like the end result is in sight.
Glad to see somebody finally fire up a Dominion 32V equipped engine, even if it isn't me.

Did you get a Care package at your side door today, UB? Maybe a couple of refrigerator doors?
