T-56 comparison help

Hey guys, I was just wandering if some of you t-56 guru's could give me a hand here.

I need to now the difference in lengths of the bellhousings and input shafts between the ls1 and lt1 t-56s.

I know that the ls1 style is shorter and has a larger diameter input shaft, but i was needing to know the exact measurements.

I'm not expecting anyone to spoon-feed me the answers, just some links or something will be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Brett

Act ually the LS1 trannies have a longer input shaft by about 2". The bellhousings just have a slightly different bolt pattern as SBCs do not have a center top bolt. However the 2 vertical bolts on both sides I believe are the same. Its just the other 2 that are different.

What else do you want to know?

Thanks for the info. Do you know if there is any difference in the bellhousings, besides the slightly different bolt pattern, of the lack of a clutch fork. Once again, Thanks.

LS1 cars do not have a clutch fork, they use a hyd. throw out bearing. The 2 are not compatable.
