?s on valve size, desings and limitations
?s on valve size, desings and limitations
First off, my understanding is that up to a 2.00/1.55 valve will fi into the stock LT1 seats. Is that correct? Does doing that leave enough material on the valve seat to be durable?
Seems like the valve area gained from going from a 1.94 -> 2.0 valve makes alot more sense than spending all the extra coin to have new seats put in and 2.02 valves, as long as it is reliable
Also, has anyone ever used the Manley (or anyone elses valves that does this) Race or Street Flo, with a necked down area in the valve stem thats exposed in the intake port? Looks liek a way to gain a few more cfm, and if your getting new valves anyway why not these? Anyone ever broken one of those valves, or any for that matter running lots of spring pressure or for other reason?
Any other valve tips/tricks that can make hp?
