Talking Swap EFI to Carb

Hey just bought a 1996 Z28 convert. Got a great deal at 1800 bucks!! But what I really want to know is who has pics, links or anything else that can help me swap the LT1 for a stroked carb. motor. Ive searched around but have not had lots of luck. Also will the T-56 mount to an early 90's 350 block out of a truck. I really would like to go with a 396. What are pros and cons to 396 vs. 383? Please help I am ready to start this conversion now! No offense to the LT1, I had one of those for a few years too!

You don't need to swap that lt1. There are stroker kits and carbureted intakes available for the lt1. Just google "lt1 carbureted intake" and you'll find plenty of suppliers including summit and gmpp. Same for the stroker kit. You'll save money and keep your reverse-flow cooling. Spend some of that savings on quality parts, machine work, and professional assembly and you'll have a fire-breathing, stump-pulling gen 2 that you ought to be really happy with. Good luck.
