Speed Pro Plasma Moly rings
Speed Pro Plasma Moly rings
i need some piston rings asap, and from what i've been reading the Speed Pro Plasma Moly rings are the ones to get...i called a local speed shop and they said something about lt1's or just 97 lt1's having metric piston rings and that they are hard to find..is this true? or does anyone know where i can get a set of these moly piston rings for my 97 lt1?
or if there is any difference between a 95 lt1 and a 97 lt1 pison ring?

Speed Pro makes a 1.5/1.5/3.0mm plasma moly ring pack, so I don't see where the problem would be in getting them. Whether or not the LT1 uses a metric ring set.... I don't know but I am quite confident in saying, a call to Speed Pro (Federal Mogul) will get you the info you need.

Hey David, I listed just about every nut and bolt some time back in a thread started by "brain". Just do a search for that username, about a year ago, and you'll find the thread. Think it was titled, "Mindgame tell us about your car" or something to that effect.
There have been a few changes made to the car since then but that covers the jist of it.
