hey i posted in the ls1 forum nobody knew but will a 99 engine harness work right with a 2001 engine and computer i know the 99 have egr and mine doesnt does anybody think this will work thanks alot kenny

 

I dunno. You may want to check on ww.LS1tech.com

 

As long as you have the right pcm m6 or a4, and you have a copy of edit (or have someone edit it). You will need to kill the egr codes. I think the fuel tables are ever so slightly different, but it will function if that is what you are after.

will i still have egr codes when my computer is a 2001 already my engine is a 2001 aswell. so the harness will plug in and work right.i thought the computer controlled the fuel.

 

For all practical purposes the answer to all your questions are yes. and the pcm does controll the fuel, but its in the 20 some odd fuel tables programmed into it It will be fine.
