As far as I know you can't get .600 lift and less than 230 duration from a solid roller. I'm sure there is alobe out there but I haven't seen it.

Basically alot of spring is needed. I would say a Comp 987 or 977 or maybe even a 929.

I think he is refering to the new CC xtreme energy solid roller cams that are out. I am thinking about going with this one: .564/.570 (.601/.608 w/1.6 rockers)@.050 236-242 LSA 112

I know the the LSA isn't a aggresive like a 108 or 110 but, I still want this to be more of a mild setup.

>With the solid roller cam ... how often do you have to reset your lash on the rockers ?

Run comp 943, pacalloy.. IMO, only solid roller spring to use.

I would run around 230 on the seat (starting). they will soften with use. keep it over 200. what did the cam manu recommend?

Onces the parts break in, you will ahve to adjust rockers every 2 oil changes or so.

Jordan, 230 on the seat really? I thought that was normal for a 650 lift roller, but with a much milder cam wouldnt that be overkill? Is the drag associated with too much spring pressure not a concern, I guess yo wont collapse lifters like a hydro

230 on the seat new.. IE, they will be in the 21X range after you put a couple miles on them.

IMO, its better to be a little on the heavy on a street car.. because they WILL lose pressure

PSI springs are a better option and hold spring pressure longer according to my engine builder and head porter....they are expensive though

I am running a solid roller 247/252 .640lift on a 112Lsa. I am running the 943s with cranes 11552 lifters and I was told to stay around 180seat pressure due to possible breaking the rocker studs. I m running comps 7/16 studs on a LT1 head. I also thought that I should be around 220 but I did not want to risk the the car breaking. This is a daily driver. Can someone shed the light on if I would ok to go up on the spring pressures?
