Here are pictures of the Improved design from the plug I made during last winter. Guys I have over 200 hours iof effort in this plug/mold. These pics are of the first piece vaccum formed out of Poly Pro this time for fit and function. I currently have the "First" Vaccum formed CARBONFIBER duct off the plug and it will make your eyes water
Pic's of the finish carbon piece soon

damn, thats a work of art!

for you technical guys...........on a heads/cam 350 lt1 (400ish rwhp area).....would this intake make worthwhile improvements over a ported LT4 intake?

Have any of you guys heard about the new Edelbrock SBC Victor EFI intake?
EDELBROCK go to Multi port fuel injection then look at the "Compitition EFI" page.
I would use this in a heartbeat on a High Horsepower LT1 for sure!
It looks awsum and check out the specs on a #2978, this is what the efi manifold is based on .....SCARRY!

Buy the Edelbrock manifold and rail kit and your on your way
I'm diging for the Holley part numbers for what I'm running and I found them:

Commander 950 SBC efi intake # 9901-101-1

Fuel rail kit # 9900-172

Throttle position sensor # 9920-104

1000 cfm 4bbl throttlebody with IAC # 9900-171

I was always wondering why they didn't have EFI single planes, they did they were just hidden on the site.

Thanks for pointing that one out.

I wish that intake was based off of the Super Vic. It's basically a big pleanum Vic Jr. Not the optimum but a dam good place to start.

Hawk,

I like that mold you ended up with, going the CF route is one of the things I was thinking of, that layout is just going to need a big aftermarket hood.

got_hp?,

The single planes are definately worth power over the LT4 intake.

Hot Rod Hawk, Thats a very nice elbow, both in look and form. Im impressed.

Did you say that the first set up you posted with the pic worked with the stock hood? Which hood are you running now?

The Black duct fit under a factory firehawk hood.

The red duct was made huge to fit under a VFN 4" ramair hood. The profile of the red duct follows the VFN /fender swoop very nice if a I say so...
It was the toughest thing to get right, maximizing the total space allowed inside the monster hood. I would say the red piece would fit under any 4" or larger cowl hood one would have on a 4th gen.

I checked with summit, the price for the manifold is $306.95 and the fuel rail kit is $78.99. That is considerable cheaper than the intake and fuel rail kit from force-efi. I am definetly going this route along with an Accufab throttle body, should be a fun setup.

hawk...........how much to get one of the black elbows from you that fits under the stock hood?

let me see if i have this right for this conversion, you need:

the manifold
fuel rails
custom elbow
are any computer mods necessary?

now im guessing since that manifold is regular SBC, some sort of modification has to be done for it to match LT1 heads right?

You forgot about the 4 barrel throttle body.

I like this one with LT1 sensors-

But remember LT1 TB open with counter clockwise rotation. Aftermarket 4bbl open clockwise!
This is why you will need the holley tp sensor that has the correct rotation. This is why there is a slight repinning needed to the harness connector

Any ideas about making a buck on all your hours of R&D on your TB elbow?
