he is saying that if you have a hole in the piston then your vac readings would be messed because as the piston is on the intake it will just pull crank vapors along with the intake charge. this will provide less vac then the other cylinders, causing a pulse.

I gotta agree, I can't see you burning a hole in less than 50 miles.. Unless of course, they were 50 miles of 1/4 mile passes

I'd like to hear the answer to the question about do you have any breathers on those valve covers?

You may have installed your second rings upside down which will cause smoking too.

I said in an earlier post that I have the stock setup with the breather that goes into the tb, but if I just had a filter breather it would relieve pressure but I shouldnt get white smoke/steam, whatever it is, I mean the enigne compartment fills with it and it billows from under the hood.

If i was washin the rings, this weekend, Im gonna change the oil and put new o2s in so Im not rich, see if I can get it to reseat, if not Im pulling the motor back out and goin through it to check everything.

Hopefully its somethin where the piston will just reseat?

What was the outcome? Did you even bother to check compression/leakdown. It'd be nice to know what the result was.
