A couple of months ago I asked if anyone knew of some brakets to fit an sbc that fit in a 4th gen camaro. Street and performance does not make one that fits in the camaro, while having the ability to keep the a/c. I found that March Performance's mid-mount kit is the answer. just thought i'd share the info for anyone else dropping an sbc into the 4th gen.

 

you should be able to put a SBC in a pre 98 4th gen without An issue using stock motor mounts. They mounting bosses on the block are in the same location. Shouldn't be a problem.

actually, lt1 MOTOR MOUNTS are completly different than sbc mounts, hence the use of a BMR K Member. Accessory brackets on an lt1 won't work on an sbc because the bolt pattern on an lt1 is unique.

 

how do you adjust timing and such? isn't the distributor under the glass?

 

yes the distributor is "under the glass", but its not hard to adjust the timing.
