Hey MG, That throttle body thing really got to me so I bit the bullet and called Accufab and overnighted a 4500 dominator tb . It should be here Wednesday. Know anybody that needs a polished 4150 style Accufab?

Re: The SB2 LT1 is together.....

Awesome Dave. Glad to see everything coming together! I'm still plugging away at the chassis, but my motor is done too. Doesn't look like I'll have time for anything but a chassis dyno, so hopefully all is good and I don't have any leaks.

My dynamic CR works out to 10.0, so I'm not too confident on the pump gas thing either. The cars should be fun... especially rowing them gears!!

This wait is killing me.......

I hope I did the right thing with the huge TB. Wait till you guys see the cog driven Jones racing accessories on the front. I think I outdid myself on that one. I'll get a complete set of high res pics on dyno day.

In short N2ODave has taken the topend off a Nascar Nextel cup car and adapted it to work on a LT1 with EFI.

Re: The SB2 LT1 is together.....

Thanks Dave.

That's exactly what we did. The benefits are that these heads flow like no other small block heads save for maybe the little chiefs. We're talking 380cfm intake 260cfm exhaust with a solid roller to match and 13.5-1 compression. I know one other person that did it but never heard any dyno numbers or full quarter passes though.....

No, hang on to it!

Are you using an adaptor for the 4500? I'd keep it and do a swap to see if the engine would rather have the 4150 or the 4500. Hey, why not? You have them both so try it out. Same thing the big guys do when they're looking to optimize things. Interesting to see the results on the dyno but the dyno isn't always indicative of what will happen on the track so make your final decisions based on ET.

Best of luck Dave!
