Rocker Arm ratio question
Rocker Arm ratio question
I'm building a sbc which is going to be around 428 cubic inches. I will be running a set of cnc sb2.2 heads that were hand ported and cleaned up some after the cnc porting..i'll have flow numbers next week. I've been talking with bret about doing the cam but i dont know if he is oging to do it since i can never get an answer back. A friend of mine who sold me the heads has a couple sets or shaft mounts and i need to know what ratio to tell him to give me. He said the set in the best condition are 2.10 ratio J2K Mohawks. Will they work out fine or is the ratio too high? The cam is not picked out yet. thanks

I wouldn't want to run 1.8 to2.1 on the street and your cam maker needs to know what the ratio is to make the cam. 1.7 is as high as I would go for any street duty on a regular basis. A trailer queen is different.Hell with those heads I would run 1.
5's and save the valve guides.
