Rear Coil Over Conversion for 84 Z

How much fabrication is involved to run rear coil over's in a 3rd gen? The coil over for front struts seems to be readily available and simple to do, but nobody seems to make a bolt in rear coil over conversion, will I need to put in a rear crossmember to mount the shocks on? The stock shocks are mounted to the floorpan so why couldn't I run coil overs mounted the same way? I want the ride height adjustability that is offered with the front strut coil over conversion, kinda seems pointless to be able to move the front end around 4-5" and the rear staying where it is at all times.

I built a mounting kit to mount them on my '95Z & they work fine in the stock location. No need to build crossmembers etc.

Helped traction a great amount over stock & allows height to be easily adjusted. It takes longer to jack up the car than adjust height.

a place called autofab racecars released a bolt-in coil over conversion for 3rd and 4th gen f-bodies recently. a story on them is in the spring 04 camaro performers mag. they use a set of QA1 coil overs that bolt in place of the original shocks. autofab dosesn't have a web site that i am aware of but their # is 410-796-8777.

Just spoke to em, $519, he's supposed to call me back since his phone was messin up, but he says ride height is "adjustable to a degree" so wonder how much that is, its a bolt in kit 100% but I may fab my own from the comp engineering kit and put my welder to some good use just to have the adjustability there.
